Circle of Life Academy provides bus transportation, ensuring students travel safely to and from school. To keep everyone safe, students must follow transportation rules and expectations.

Bus Stop Expectations

At the bus stop:

  • Be at your bus stop on time.
  • Stand a safe distance from the road.
  • Parents or guardians should stay with younger students, especially during the first few days.
  • Wait for the bus to come to a full stop before boarding.
  • Only get on the bus at your assigned stop.

Bus Behavior Expectations

While on the bus:

  • Always follow the bus drivers’ instructions.
  • Sit in your seat and stay seated.
  • Keep your hands, arms, and head inside the bus.
  • Do not eat or drink on the bus.
  • Speak quietly; no yelling or loud noises.
  • No running, fighting, or horseplay.
  • Keep the bus clean.
  • Take care of your own items; do not throw objects.
  • Let the bus driver know right away if you see damage, hazards, or unsafe behavior.

Crossing the Street

If you need to cross the street when getting on or off the bus:

  • Cross only in front of the bus.
  • Wait for the driver’s signal before crossing.
  • Do not cross behind the bus.

Bus Pass Requests

A bus pass allows a student to ride a different bus or use a different stop for one day.

How to request a bus pass

A parent or guardian must:

  • Send a signed note with the student; or
  • Call the school office with the pickup or drop-off location.

Important information

  • Bus passes are only approved for scheduled stops on existing bus routes.
  • The school office must receive requests before 2:00 p.m.
  • Requests after 2:00 p.m. may not be approved.
  • If the school cannot approve the request, the parent or guardian must arrange transportation.
